The Atlona AT-HDVS-TX is a switcher and HDBaseT transmitter that accepts two HDMI sources and one VGA source with stereo audio, then carries the selected signal up to 230 feet over a single category cable. It gives you a clean, reliable way to place laptops, media players, and legacy computers at the conference table while keeping the display or projector on the far wall.

The unit supports video resolutions up to 1080p and 1920 × 1200 with embedded multichannel audio, so image detail and sound quality stay intact from the source to the screen. A 3.5 millimeter jack lets you pair analog audio with the VGA input when needed.

Installation is straightforward. Power over Category cable eliminates the need for a local power supply when the transmitter is paired with a compatible Atlona HDBaseT receiver, such as the AT-HDVS-RX. Auto-switching senses the active source and selects it automatically, which means users can walk into the room, plug in, and present without touching a control panel. If you prefer formal control, an RS-232 port is available for third-party systems, and firmware can be updated through the USB port when new features become available.

The AT-HDVS-TX fits naturally in small to medium conference rooms, classrooms, training labs, and huddle spaces where equipment needs to stay invisible and intuitive. Integrators appreciate the single-cable link, reduced clutter, and the ability to manage power, video, audio, and control signals through one structured cable run.

When combined with an HDBaseT receiver that offers display control, the transmitter can automatically turn the monitor or projector on or off based on source presence, further streamlining the user experience and conserving energy.

Highlights:

  • Three-input switcher with two HDMI ports and one VGA port plus 3.5 mm audio

  • Supports 1080p and 1920 × 1200 resolution with multichannel audio pass-through
  • Auto-switching selects the active source without user intervention
  • Power over Category cable allows operation without a local power adapter when paired with a compatible receiver
  • RS-232 port enables integration with third-party control systems
  • USB port supports convenient firmware updates in the field
