Beautiful studio pottery orb vase by Norman Bacon from Woodstock, New York. Light and masterfully thrown, this small vase packs a lot of style. Great asymmetrical texture made of small dots applied to half of the vase. Multicolored metallic glaze achieved by mastering the difficult technique of Raku firing. Matte bisque exposed in some areas.
Vase is in very good vintage condition with no damage, no chips or cracks. Measures 7.5" x 4"; opening 1.75”. Signed on the bottom by the artist with gold ink.”
