They have a blast moving their car along the racetrack and earning small prizes as the they accomplish reading goals. Starts from learning the letters and goes through to fluency reading. My little brother learned to read with this system in the 90s. I was 12 at the time and I loved singing the songs right along with him. I have NEVER forgotten my phonetic rules and having a strong phonetic base has been super helpful in learning multiple languages. My mom passed it along to my sister and she taught her 2 boys to read with it and I then taught my daughter to read with it. They are all confident readers with a solid understanding of the english language.
