This is a beautiful hand-painted oyster Plate with six wells and a sauce indentation in the middle. The highlight of this plate is the brushed Lavender wells in various hues, creating depth. Around the plate is a very pale wash of French Blue that shows off the lavender as well as the Gilded accents. Each well is accented with gilding around the edges and the center. The edges have a nice swath of gilding between each shell.
This Oyster Plate is made out of heavy pottery and includes a built-in hanger on the back, as shown in the pictures. It measures 9 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/4" deep. The plate is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
