Dirndl, is a traditional folk costume primarily worn in German-speaking Alpine regions like Bavaria (Germany), Austria, Switzerland, and parts of Italy (South Tyrol) and Liechtenstein.
It’s corduroy material and embroidery style links its origin dating back to the mid-20th century or earlier, when such materials and folk revival trends were popular.
It’s made of a ribbed corduroy fabric in a muted green shade, which also demonstrates a vintage piece. It features prominent, colorful embroidered bands around the square neckline and the bottom of the skirt, adding a distinctive folk aesthetic.
This is a vintage handmade piece, so there are small signs of wear in the stitching. Located on the base of the straps. And 2 small tears in the middle back, where there is some stitching made in an attempt to fix them.
