As shown. See all photos. Pictured is my mother’s mother’s mother’s father, Martin Andrew DeLany (1844–1908). That makes him my great great grandfather. This was maybe taken circa 1903? Papers in last two photos not included. Minor flaws.

Began practice in April 1868, at Elgin, Illinois, but moved from that city to Chicago in Sept., 1868, and has been in practice here ever since; special features of practice are land titles, real estate law, chancery and probate work; now senior member of law firm of De Lany & Waltz. Elected to Illinois Senate 1876, as Democrat, and served in 30th and 31st General Assemblies, taking part in contest which resulted in election of Judge David Davis to US Senate: appointed 1879, to Chicago Board of Education, and served 2 years as its president: nominee for Congress in his district, 1902, on Democratic ticket, but defeated. Member of Chicago Bar Association and Law Institute R.C. Office: 95 Clark St. Residence 537 Cleaveland Ave.”
