These pads are not genuine Elm # 1 pads, they are COMPATIBLE w/ Elm Machines. I have been using these in my Elm Senior II machines and they are awesome. I have found that my results from these pads is the same or even a bit better than genuine Elm Black # 1 pads. These measure 3/8" thick x 2 1/4" outside dimensions. The velcro piece on the top of the pads fits nicely on the Elm pad holder, this velcro piece sticks onto the foam pad very nicely, it will never fall off.
