Pair of vintage Rockdale Union Stoneware crocks featuring the Village of Sterling, Virginia. Both pieces are handmade in Cambridge, Wisconsin and dated 1990. They display a charming blue barn motif with "Village of Sterling Virginia" text.
The larger crock measures approximately 7 inches tall and has handles on the sides.
The smaller crock is approximately 5.25 inches tall, no handles.
Both are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. Of course, these are vintage pieces, so please review the photos for the best description. The distinctive salt glaze and cobalt blue decoration are classic examples of Rockdale's quality craftsmanship. Both pieces feature a barn in blue glaze designs.
